Last Sunday was a very exciting time around good ole' LakeviewCC. We launch our new youth service/ministry called THE STAND. Doors open at 5:15 for free food and hang out time. We have several game tables and seating areas for people to hang out. At about 6:00pm the service starts with videos, skits, worship, and I preach. For the first week, it went extremely well! I cannot thank God enough for what He has done. We had several guest (who don't have home churches!!!) and they felt our warm atmosphere. Here are a few pics :)
Our entire idea is to create a safe, comfortable atmosphere, where youth feel loved and accepted! Praise God for working through THE STAND!!!!

Looks awesome man. I'm so glad the kickoff with the new setup went so well.
Remind me, are you running jr. and sr. high together for this? Curious. We keep ours together for our main srvice but i'm hoping to get to a point where i can split them up all the time.

yeah! Our jh and sr.h are both together. Like you mentioned...it would be nice to split them, but we don't have the number (yet).
This past week went really well also. The youth are bringing their friends, which is a great sign. The first week we had 3 guest and this week we had 4 guest. So needless to say we are very pleased. It isn't perfect but sometimes to get people to take ownership of something it is more beneficial to have them do it at 80% as opposed to you doing everything yourself.
We are called to equip and encourage people and if we are doing everything by ourselves we are not doing our jobs!!!
So...I'll take 80% perfect with people who love taking overship of THIER ministry!!!!!! Praying for ya all!
